General Objective

AHAI is seeking an HR Officer to support HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and training.

AHAI is a non-Governmental, Non-Profit, Making Organization. non-political and non- religious international aid organization. African Humanitarian Aid International (AHAI) has been operating in Nigeria since 2017, with operational offices in Adamawa and Borno, including sub-offices in the field ¹.

Key Responsibilities-
Recruitment: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.

  • Employee Relations: Support employee engagement, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits, leave, and payroll-related issues.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate training, capacity building, and staff development programs.
  • HR Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations, address grievances, and resolve conflicts.
  • Performance Management: Support performance planning, appraisal, and development processes.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate capacity-building programs, and promote staff development.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, manage benefits, and ensure compliance with labor laws.

Requirements-

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems

Desired Skills- HR certification (e.g., HRCI, SHRM)

  • Experience in NGO or humanitarian sector
  • Fluency in English; local Nigerian languages an asset Closing date:3rd Dec 2025.
