The Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre (CIRDDOC) is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization established in 1996 and registered in 1998 for the protection and promotion of human rights and women’s human rights and the strengthening of civil society. CIRDDOC is also committed to institutionalizing good governance, gender equality, and the rule of law. The organization is designed to support and empower marginalized groups, especially women and children, to get justice. It also builds the capacity of individuals, groups, coalitions, networks, and institutions to participate in a broad range of democratic processes.
Our engagement and intervention strategies include outreach, rallies, workshops, seminars, conferences, research, documentation and publication, public hearings and civic forums, paralegal schemes, mediation, litigation, counseling and legal advice, civic education, voter education, budget literacy, advocacy, and monitoring. Job Title: Head of Finance
Location: Enugu

Report to: Head of Institutional Support/Administration & Executive Director
Job Summary
- The Head of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including planning, budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations, local laws, and NGO best practices
- Prepare financial reports for the Executive Director, Board, and donors
- Manage grant finances and reporting for multiple grants
- Lead and supervise a finance/admin team of 3–5 staff
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial integrity
- Develop financial policies and procedures
- Conduct internal audits and manage financial risks
Requirments
- Candidates should possess a BSc in Finance or Accounting
- ICAN certification required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management
- At least 3 years’ experience in NGO accounting
- Strong knowledge of NGO accounting, donor requirements, and financial regulations
- Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working with international donors (USAID, EU, UN)
- Familiarity with financial planning and budgeting tools
- Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
