GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The main objective of the position is the coordination, management, monitoring, monitoring and accountability of the project « Promotion of decent employment in sustainable tourism, promoting formal working conditions with a gender, inclusion and innovation approach », with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main functions will be, in close collaboration with the Project Director:
- Management, coordination and technical and economic monitoring of the various actions of the project, under the support and supervision of the Project Director, and in coordination with the project manager.
- Coordination and planning (weekly and monthly) of the work of the human team available for the execution of the project, together with those responsible for local partners.
- Ensure the strategies for meeting objectives, results, indicators and activities, according to the schedule, resources and budget approved in the different projects, trying to maximize the parameters of effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, viability, impact and coverage of both CESAL and its local partners, in accordance with CESAL’s financing regulations and institutional procedures.
- Preparation of monthly monitoring reports and updating of the planned monitoring tools, which allow measuring progress or difficulties in the execution of actions and, improve or streamline the team’s work under their coordination.
- Monthly analysis of the execution, technical and economic, for decision-making and the implementation of appropriate strategies that allow achieving the stated objectives.
- At the request of the Project Director, ensure participation in project monitoring meetings in coordination with the CESAL project management team.
- Preparation of intermediate, annual and final, technical and economic reports, in coordination with the project partners and the CESAL financial administrative team, following the requirements demanded by the financier, detail the progress of the planned activities and the results obtained, in order to provide truthful and objective information that allows decision-making.
- Assess risks, deviations and modifications and propose corrective measures and project improvement aspects in close collaboration with the Project Director.
- Contribute to the generation of heritage, methodologies and institutional learning for CESAL, as well as ensure the implementation of the CESAL Method.
- Institutional interlocution with the different actors present in the territory, generating synergies and complementarities, in close collaboration with the project manager.
- Ensure the sustainability of the different interventions, as well as identify both new local financing opportunities and with international organizations, as well as synergies and / or future proposals that broaden their objectives, participating in its formulation.
- Close coordination and collaboration with the rest of the CESAL projects and teams in the area.
JERARCHIC SUPERIOR: Project Director
POST CONDITIONS: Labor contract for a defined time. It is essential to have a residence and work permit in the Dominican Republic for those who are not of Dominican nationality. Trial period of 3 months and working day of 40 hours per week.
ECONOMIC CONDITIONS: Salary scale based on the salary scales of CESAL DOMINICANA. Private health insurance: Social benefits related to the health plan for the contracted person.
WORK CENTER:
The workplace will be at the CESAL office in the municipality of Pedernales, with trips to the entire province. Within the regional strategy, it may be required to move to other areas of the Enriquillo Region, for coordination and articulation with other CESAL interventions.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Title:
Degrees related to the objectives and responsibilities of the work described.
Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Minimum essential 3 years of work experience in coordination of development cooperation projects.
- The experience of coordination and management in interventions financed by the Spanish Cooperation and International Organizations will be valued.
- Work experience in coordination with local partners will be valued.
- Work experience in business articulation and employment promotion strategies will be valued
decent. - Demonstrable experience in gender projects and programs will be valued.
