Malaria Consortium Nigeria is committed to tackling the large number of malaria cases and deaths in the country. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners, we lead and support three major malaria control initiatives in the country: Support to the National Malaria Control Programme (SuNMaP); NetWorks and MAPS. Our areas of focus include: Technical support for malaria control Capacity building, harmonisation and training of health workers Heath systems strengthening Behaviour Change Communications and community outreach activities Operational research, policy and advocacy

The scope of the role is to be responsible for overseeing the management and resolution of grievances received from community members, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders related to Malaria Consortium’s Support to Malaria Elimination project in FCT, Nigeria. The role will be responsible for ensuring that all grievances are handled in a timely, fair, and effective manner and that feedback is provided to the relevant stakeholders. The Manager will supervise the Assistant Communication Officer.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing grievance mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of accountability principles and mechanisms for community-based programs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
