Job Summary:
The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of our mission, the ability to articulate our goals and impact effectively, and the expertise to navigate the grant application process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in grant writing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting education for girls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources that align with our mission.
- Write compelling grant proposals and applications that clearly articulate the goals, objectives, and impact of our programs.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant proposals.
- Prepare and maintain a calendar of grant submission deadlines and follow-up reports.
- Develop relationships with funders and maintain effective communication throughout the grant process.
- Monitor and report on grant progress, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in grant writing and funding opportunities related to education and gender equality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Nonprofit Management, Communications).
- Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Strong research skills and the ability to identify funding sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Passion for promoting education and gender equality, particularly in the context of girl child education.
