Learning through Skills Acquisition Initiative (LETSAI) is a youth-led, women-focused non-profit organization established in June 2015. LETSAI particularly targets women, youths and children, the most vulnerable members of the society; it addresses protection issues through sustainable livelihood, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), psychosocial support through women groups and counseling sessions, and women empowerment interventions. The organization works with the relevant stakeholders towards peace building, sensitize women on GBV, management of survivors of violence by building and developing the skills of women and young girls. Hygiene promotion as a component where best practices of hygiene are being enhanced through house to house sensitization. The organizational values include timeliness, good attitude, integrity, excellence and professionalism while mainstreaming gender in all her interventions.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grant and Partnership Specialist to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by managing grants and establishing strategic partnerships to support our organization’s mission and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate entities.
- Develop and submit grant proposals, ensuring they are aligned with LETSAI’s goals and objectives.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including proposal writing, budget development, and reporting.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and potential partners, including NGOs, educational institutions, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with program managers to identify partnership opportunities that align with LETSAI’s mission and programs.
- Negotiate and draft partnership agreements, ensuring they reflect the organization’s goals and values.
- Monitor and evaluate grant-funded programs, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and objectives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, showcasing the impact of grants and partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, non-profit management), An advanced Degree would be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, partnership development, or a related role within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources.
- Strong knowledge of grant application processes, including proposal development, budgeting, and reporting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive grant proposals and partnership agreements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using grant management software and tools.
- Passion for education, skills development, and social impact.
