HCM Foundation; Hope, Compassion, and Mercy Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening health systems through innovative, data-driven, and people-centered approaches. We are seeking qualified candidates for multiple full-time positions across several states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Manager in maintaining complete, accurate, and up-to-date financial records for all project activities, ensuring strict adherence to HCMF financial policies and donor compliance requirements.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain supporting financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, requisitions, payment vouchers, staff timesheets, and vendor records, to ensure full audit readiness.
  • Assist with processing payments for vendors, staff stipends, field allowances, consultants, and operational expenses, ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation are in place.
  • Track, reconcile, and manage petty cash, field expenses, and project activity expenditures, ensuring timely retirement and accurate cost categorization.
  • Support monthly bank reconciliations by monitoring transactions, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring consistency between bank statements, ledger entries, and supporting documents.
  • Process and record staff and activity advances and retirements, ensuring compliance with timelines and preventing outstanding or overdue advances.
  • Assist with budget monitoring by updating expenditure trackers, monitoring burn rates, and flagging variances or potential financial risks to the Finance Manager.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets, maintaining consistency with the chart-of-accounts and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare draft monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, consolidating expenditure data and supporting documentation for Finance Manager review.
  • Support compliance with donor financial reporting standards, ensuring correct classifications, cost allocations, and documentation are maintained.
  • Coordinate with procurement and administrative teams to verify deliveries, maintain vendor records, and ensure complete documentation prior to payment processing.
  • Assist with preparation for internal and external audits by organizing documentation, responding to audit queries, and supporting financial transparency.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards when handling sensitive payroll, financial, and contractual information.
  • Contribute to financial systems strengthening by maintaining organized archives, updating templates, and improving internal documentation and filing practices.
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Professional certification (qualified or in progress))

•     Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles within donor-funded projects, NGOs.
