CARE BEST INITIATIVE (CBI) is a growing woman-led National Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2019 and presently operational in the BAY states within the North-East. Our actions are to save lives, alleviate the suffering of children, women and other vulnerable people; and to maintain human dignity during and in the after math of man–made crises and natural disasters; as well as to prevent and strengthen preparedness for the occurrence of such situation; and to promote the right of children, women and vulnerable people in the society. CBI is partnering with Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) to improve access to the prevention and treatment services of acute malnutrition among children, pregnant and breastfeeding women; and reduce morbidity and mortality among these vulnerable groups. ROLE

Reporting to a manager and supporting the finance and accounting teams. This is a role that interacts with several departments internally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets
  • Managing records and receipts
  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  • Preparing balance sheets
  • Processing invoices
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of organizational products and process
  • Providing customer service to clients
  • Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams
  • Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and executives with projects and tasks when required

REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc in Finance or Economics, BSc Accounting, Business or Business Administration, Mathematics
  • Knowledge in the below programs could also be included in the job description to appeal to multi-skilled and high-quality candidates: SAP, QuickBooks, Tableau, Xero, Accounting Software, HP TRIM
  • Good interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak Hausa, Kanuri and English
