Vision for Inclusive Solutions and Transparency Initiative (VISTA Initiative) is a youth-led humanitarian and development organization dedicated to promoting inclusion, accountability, education, protection, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development. Through innovative and community-driven approaches, VISTA Initiative works with vulnerable populations to create opportunities, strengthen resilience, and improve livelihoods.
As part of our commitment to building the capacity of young professionals, VISTA Initiative invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for internship opportunities in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria
Duration: Six (6) months, with the possibility of extension based on performance, organizational needs, and availability of funding.
Internship Support: This internship is designed to provide practical learning, mentorship, and professional development opportunities in the humanitarian and development sector. While this is a non-salaried internship position, successful candidates will receive transportation support throughout the internship period.
Role Summary:
The Finance Intern will support the Finance Unit in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with organizational financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support financial documentation and record management.
- Assist in processing payments and financial transactions.
- Support budget tracking and expenditure monitoring.
- Assist in preparing financial reports.
- Maintain proper filing and archiving of financial records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and integrity.
- Previous internship, volunteer, or work experience is an added advantage.
