We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Fundraising Associate to join our team at Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs. We are a non-profit organization committed to supporting children with special needs. The Fundraising Associate will play a vital role in generating funds through grants and donors to support our mission of providing essential resources and services to special needs children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Develop grant proposals and applications that effectively communicate the mission and goals, of the organization.
- Research, identify, and apply for relevant grant opportunities from government agencies and corporations.
- Manage the grant application process from start to finish, and maintain accurate records of grants
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies to secure sponsorships, engage donors and increase contributions through personalized communication and events
- Work closely with program team to understand the impact of our programs and effectively communicate the organization\’s mission and accomplishments to donors and grantors.
- Work closely with the executive and program team to develop and implement fundraising strategies, plan, organize, and execute fundraising events and campaigns to generate support for the organization\’s mission.
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in communications, business administration, or any related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising and grant writing preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grants and donations from a variety of sources.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to write compelling grant proposals and donor appeals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels, manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively
