Role Overview
- We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Digital Communications volunteer to join our communications team!
- This volunteer will help design, curate, and distribute monthly newsletters that inform, inspire, and engage our community including mentees, alumni, and partners.
- If you love writing, digital storytelling, and finding creative ways to connect people through words and visuals, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and send monthly newsletters to IHA’s mailing lists (general, partners, and alumni).
- Use platforms such as Zoho Campaigns and Substack to design and distribute our engaging newsletters.
- Collaborate with the IHA team to develop creative content ideas for our newsletter from community highlights to inspiring stories and practical resources.
- Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, tone, and brand consistency.
- Track and report key engagement metrics (opens, clicks, subscriptions) and suggest ways to boost subscriber growth.
- Stay updated on newsletter and digital marketing trends to improve audience engagement and reach.
Qualifications
- Experience creating newsletters or writing digital content (preferably on Zoho and, Substack, or similar).
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with a knack for making content informative and fun.
- Creative thinker with an eye for visuals, layout, and audience engagement.
- Self-driven and organized, with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Passionate about women’s empowerment, leadership, and personal development.
