Chidinma & Havilah Foundation (CHF) is one of the leading national organizations in Nigeria, working with rights holders and vulnerable populations respectively to lead their own actions and recovery that leads to a life of dignity. Established as a volunteering social worker in 2019 during the covid-19 pandemic to support community health system strengthening, social and behavioural change communication in WASH as a preventive precaution and awareness sensitivity on infectious transmittable diseases.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Consultant – Organizational Capacity Assessment and Strategy Development
Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Contract
Roles and Responsibilities
- CHF will commit time to support the consultant during this exercise:
- Facilitate introductions and connections to key stakeholders for the consultant as necessary
- Facilitate the mobilization of participants for interviews including key government stakeholders for KII.
- Facilitate travel bookings and accommodation where necessary.
- Organize regular check-in calls with the consultant for the provision of updates
Key Deliverables:
- Comprehensive work plan including a detailed methodology, report format, and revised timeline.
- Provision of an inception/baseline report incorporating preliminary findings
- Facilitation of the self-assessment organization capacity assessment.
- Submission OCAT mid-term reviewed results and organizational development plans progress including detail implementation strategy.
- Submission of the final OCAT/endline report.
Consultant to submit work and timetable for the assignment- including clearly stated:
- reporting deadlines for the various stages of the assignment
- A timely request for documents and needed logistical support
- Timely notification for workshops, interviews and required participants
- Meets agreed deadlines and deliverables
Required Competencies and Experience
- MSc in Business administration, Accounting, or relevant social sciences with 5+ years of consultancy experience in organizational capacity assessments, preferably for localization system strengthening assessments.
- Relevant experience working in the Northern Nigeria, with demonstrable technical knowledge in organizational capacity systems strengthening.
- Organizational development tool development and skills
- Leadership and Change management skills
- Evidence-based decision-making skills
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Familiarity with methods and tools for participatory self-assessment
- Skills in communication, facilitation, and reporting
Duration and Timing of the Assessment includes but not limited to the following:
- Data collection and analysis- focus groups, workshops, etc.
- Draft of consolidated report
- Preparation of the final report
- Presentation of final report and facilitation of workshop to develop OCD implementation strategy.
