TERMS OF REFERENCE (ToR)
Title: Consultant/Facilitator for Training of Traditional Media Influencers on Gender, GBV, FP, and RMNCAH
Position Type: Short-Term Consultancy
Location: Lagos, Kano, and Kaduna (travel required)
Duration: Up to 15 days (including training delivery in 3 states, travel days, and reporting)
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct desk review of MAP curriculum and relevant gender and health communication materials.
• Adapt the curriculum and prepare session guides suited for traditional media practitioners.
• Coordinate closely with ISMPH’s team to finalize training content and logistics.
• Lead training sessions and facilitate group work during the 2-day workshops in each state.
• Monitor and evaluate participant engagement and learning throughout the training.
• Assist participants in developing state-specific media advocacy plans.
• Prepare and submit a final consultancy report with lessons learned and recommendations.

Required Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Public Health, Gender Studies, Communication, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in gender equality, GBV, RMNCAH programming, or media advocacy.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum adaptation and facilitation of adult learning sessions.
• Excellent understanding of the Nigerian media landscape and gender/social norms.
• Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including media, government, and CSOs.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
Reporting Line
The consultant will report to the Programs Director of ISMPH and will work closely with the Program teams and Gender team from Engender Health.
Remuneration
The consultant will be paid a competitive daily rate based on qualifications and experience, inclusive of travel and logistics. Payment will be milestone-based and subject to approval of deliverables.
