Duration: 6 months (renewable)
Role Purpose
The Community Mobilisation Officer leads grassroots engagement, mobilisation, and sensitisation activities to promote community participation in CAYEI’s programs. The role ensures inclusive representation, supports accountability systems, and strengthens community-driven project approaches.
Key Areas of Accountability
Community Engagement & Mobilisation
- Lead community sensitisation activities, ensuring inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised groups.
- Support formation and strengthening of community structures (committees, volunteer groups).
- Facilitate community access to project services and information sharing.
Awareness & Behavioural Change
- Conduct awareness campaigns and community dialogues.
- Develop and deliver messages tailored to local contexts and cultural norms.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and partners.
- Participate in community-level coordination and represent CAYEI when assigned.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Collect community feedback, complaints, and suggestions.
- Submit daily/weekly field activity reports.
- Document challenges, best practices, and community success stories.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a similar field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of field experience with NGOs or community-based organisations.
- Strong knowledge of local cultural norms and community dynamics.
