COMMUNITY HYGIENE PROMOTERS (CHPs)
JOB DESCRIPITION
- Educate communities on good hygiene practices, including hand washing, safe water handling, and sanitation.
- Facilitate sessions on disease prevention, such as cholera, diarrhea, and malaria.
- Promote the use and maintenance of latrines and other sanitation facilities.
- Conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns to encourage behavior change.
- Organize and lead community meetings, focus groups, or training sessions.
- Mobilize community members to participate in hygiene-related initiatives.
- Conduct surveys or assessments to understand community hygiene needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of hygiene promotion activities.
- Provide regular reports on activities, challenges, and progress to supervisors
- Train local volunteers, community leaders, or health workers on hygiene promotion techniques.
- Distribute hygiene kits, educational materials, and other resources as needed.
- Ensure culturally sensitive approaches in hygiene education.
- Support campaigns to reduce open defecation or improve waste management.
REQUIREMENT
| Education | SSCE certificate Diploma/ CHEW is an added Advantage Community hygiene training (done by MOH) will be an asset. |
| Experience | MUST be residing in Maru LGA, Zamfara Must be someone very active and well accepted in the community The candidate must not be Engaged with STATE GOVERNMENT OR ANY ORGANIZATION |
