The above mentioned organization has vacancies in the following offices which are required to be filled immediately: Project Manager, WaSH Coordinator, WaSH Officer, Finance Officer, Human Resource Officer, Procurement and Logistics Officer and community Hygiene Promoters (CHPs) who are to work with the organization for the period of one year.

Sorasun Foundation (SRF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) none-bias, non-political, non-profit making, charitable based organization designed to render humanitarian and developmental programs in all ramification, as well as support and protect the most vulnerable who are victims of natural and manmade disaster, and to motivate people to live purposeful lives despite the challenges in Nigeria. With thematic areas across WaSH, Nutrition/Health, General protection, Education, Food security, Early recovery and Livelihood. Our head office located at Suite 022 Atiku Mall, Numan Road, Opposite Immigration Office, Yola Adamawa State.

Job Title: Community Hygiene Promoters

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Gombi/Hong

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and implement data to-day hygiene promotion activities in the areas of responsibility (AoR), this includes household visits and hygiene awareness sessions.
  • Distribute information, education, and communication (IEC)s materials on hygiene promotion and behavioral change.
  • Participate in other campaigns and other WASH activities
  • Identify problems and change of Wash knowledge, and attitude practices and report same.
  • Participate in the registration and distribution of NFIs
  • And other duties that may be required.

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum of diploma/NCE certificate
  • Experience in the implementation of hygiene promotion activities
  • Good communication skills
  •  Understanding of traditional believes
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of other languages eg; Hausa, Kilba, Fulfulde, and English
  • Active smartphone, number, and email.
